As a reminder, there will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The Twin Valley High School Leo Club partnered with a former local police chief to organize a donation drive in support of hurricane victims in North Carolina. Together, they assembled hygiene kits for men, women, boys, and girls in color-coordinated bags and collected a trailer full of essential supplies, all generously donated by our school community.
A huge thank you to our Leo Club members for their dedication to helping others, and to all the volunteers who played a role in gathering supplies, packing boxes, loading the trailer, and more! #WellnessWednesday #RaiderPride

#FeatureFriday: As we close out #SchoolBusSafetyWeek, we would like to recognize all of our Bus Drivers and Bus Staff at Eshelman Transportation, Inc. and Krapf School Bus for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to safety.
These team members play an invaluable role in our school community, often being the first and last point of contact for our students daily. They are essential to the success of our district, and we are grateful for all that you do each and every day. Thank you!

As we continue to highlight #SchoolBusSafetyWeek, check out today’s tip from the Twin Valley Transportation Department!
Tip: Students can help support school bus safety by limiting distractions for their bus drivers. This can be done by staying in seats, keeping heads, arms, and papers inside the bus, and talking quietly, remembering that the driver needs to remain focused on the road.

#RaiderRecognition: Twin Valley Elementary Center would like to recognize their September Students of the Month, Avary Myles, Brynn Wagner, Calebe Guerra Frietas, Charlotte DeRafelo, Declan Petersheim, Hannah Fleck, Henry Tucker, James Garrett, Myron Zwizanski, & Olive Grippe!
These 10 students were selected from over 130 TVEC magnet winners who were nominated by staff between September 9th and Octber 4th. Students received nominations for showing their TVEC Pride by being kind to others and exhibiting the characteristics of politeness, effort, respect, discipline, and integrity. Way to go!

As the leaves begin to change and a crisp breeze fills the air, we’re reminded that fall is a season of transition. Fall sports are coming to a close, and with that, many teams across the District—like Twin Valley Middle School’s Soccer Team—are enjoying end-of-season festivities. These gatherings provide the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far they’ve come and remind us that, just like nature, we’re all growing, adapting, and preparing for what’s ahead!

As we continue to highlight #SchoolBusSafetyWeek, check out today’s tip from the Twin Valley Transportation Department!
Tip: Stay out of the Danger Zone. Cross the road in front of the bus - at least 10 feet so the bus driver can see you. Today kicks off #SchoolBusSafetyWeek! Safety is a collaborative effort. This week, we will be sharing tips from the Twin Valley Transportation Department on ways to support bus safety for both students and drivers.
Today's tip: Please arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

#FeatureFriday: This weekend, both the TVHS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are heading to Big Spring High School to compete in the District Championships!
Earlier this week, the Boys Team won the County Championships by a 30-point margin, while the Girls Team secured a strong 4th place finish. We wish both teams the best of luck as they take on this next challenge. Go Raiders!

Robeson Elementary Center had the delightful opportunity to host a special guest—Muggles the Horse!
As the inspiration behind Jamie Guiberson’s children’s book, "Muggles and the Missing Cat Food", Muggles is described as a small pony with a big personality, an even bigger stomach, and a heart full of love. Students were thrilled to meet Muggles in person and hear author Jamie Guiberson, from Whistle Hill Farm, bring the story to life.

Twin Valley High School's Mission Possible recently visited The Clock Tower at Reading Hospital to drop off care packages for long-term care patients. This month’s baskets were filled with cozy pillows, coloring books with markers, fall crafts, fidgets, and message boards—all chosen to bring comfort and joy.
Last year, Mission Possible had just 10 members. Now, over 100 students are involved and the group continues to expand, finding new ways to support local hospitals beyond their monthly care baskets.
#MotivationMonday: Generosity is contagious! Be inspired by TVHS Mission Possible and find your way to pay it forward.
