#FeatureFriday: On January 6, 2025, seven Twin Valley High School seniors were awarded their State Future Farmers of America (FFA) Degrees (also known as the Keystone Degree) at the Pennsylvania FFA Mid-Winter Convention. Additionally, Brynlee Balliett was named the Eastern Regional Star in Agricultural Placement for her work at Kirtland Farms. Congratulations to all!

Alumni Highlight: After graduating from Twin Valley High School, Kaeli Ficco went on to earn a degree from Princeton University and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Cornell University.
In a recent groundbreaking study featured by Princeton Engineering, Kaeli and her team uncovered an innovative approach to plant health by harnessing the power of bacteria to protect crops. Her research, which explores how specific bacteria can combat plant diseases, holds tremendous promise for advancing sustainable agriculture and food security.

Last week, the Twin Valley High School Science Olympiad team had the honor of competing at the Berks County Science Olympiad Invitational. Held at Kutztown University, 23 teams from across Berks County participated in a variety of science-based events to test their skills and knowledge.
12 students from Twin Valley attended and placed in a variety of events, including the following:
Bungee Drop - 2nd Place
Codebusters – 4th Place
Astronomy – 5th Place
Tower – 6th Place
The TVHS Science Olympiads will be competing in the regional competition on March 20. Way to go!

These five students were selected from over 120 nominees who demonstrated TVEC Pride and exemplified kindness between November 11 and December 18. Congratulations to these outstanding individuals!

January 9 is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Twin Valley School District extends gratitude to all law enforcement officers across Twin Valley and the Commonwealth for their dedication and tireless efforts to keep our students, families, staff, and communities safe.
Throughout the district, our schools are finding meaningful ways to show appreciation to our local officials. Robeson Elementary Center celebrated National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by creating drawings, writing letters, and making signs for the Robeson Township Police Department. Officers visited the school to receive these heartfelt expressions of thanks, followed by light refreshments hosted by the REC PTO.
On Saturday, February 1st, the Twin Valley Middle School Jazz Band, String Ensemble, and Select Choir will perform on ice before and during the Reading Royals Hockey game at the Santander Arena!
The game begins at 7:00 PM, but be sure to arrive a few minutes early to hear our group perform the Star Spangled Banner. In addition, it’s the Royals' Mardi Gras-themed night, featuring free Mardi Gras beads and specialty treats available for purchase.
Student tickets are free, and proceeds from paid tickets will benefit TVMS. We can’t wait to see you there – go Royals!

Congratulations to Julia Waterloo, Twin Valley High School’s January Intern of the Month! Julia interns at the Twin Valley Elementary Center, where she’s made an incredible impact. From helping organize the Children’s Grief Awareness activities to leading kindness lessons for students, Julia is passionate about supporting children and advocating for their well-being.
“Julia has made wonderful connections with students and staff, and her dedication to our community is truly inspiring,” says Mrs. Beth Sharp, Guidance Counselor.
Beyond her internship, Julia stays active in History Club, NHS, TVHS Heroes, and Tri-County Young Life, while also working at Botanery Barn Distillery! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things Julia will continue to accomplish!

#FeatureFriday: Before the holiday break, Honey Brook Elementary Center (HBEC) students took part in a festive 'Elves' Workshop,' where they crafted thoughtful and creative gifts for their loved ones. From handmade ornaments to personalized treasures, these talented creators filled the season with warmth and kindness.
#RaiderRecognition: Twin Valley Middle School (TVMS) would recognize their November Students of the Month, Emma Pallante, Axel Tingley, Cassandra Byrne, Blake Edgar, Damien Yarger, Brooklyn Kaiser, Amriella Garvey, and Caleb Hatton.
“Gratitude” was the word of the month and these students expressed this trait daily in class, including interactions with teachers, classmates, and all TVMS staff. Congratulations!
As a reminder, there will be an early dismissal on Friday, December 20, 2024. Our schools will be closed for the holiday break from December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back on January 2, 2025.

In addition, 30 dedicated students volunteered their time to help distribute gifts at the Salvation Army, making this holiday season brighter for many! #RaiderPride

Now, she is returning to Twin Valley to lead a field hockey clinic for TVMS and TVHS students on December 22nd! Don’t miss this chance to gain insights from an incredible athlete.

#RaiderRecognition: Robeson Elementary Center proudly recognizes Mrs. Lysa Dieffenbach and the Fourth Grade Chorus for their outstanding holiday performance. Each year, Mrs. Dieffenbach and the fourth graders usher in the holiday season with a wonderful concert, and this year was no exception!
With a delightful mix of heartfelt and lighthearted songs, harmonious melodies, and lively choreography, the fourth graders showcase the skills they've developed over the years, spreading joy and holiday spirit throughout the school community.
Mrs. Dieffenbach and her students dedicate countless hours to preparing and rehearsing for this cherished event, and their hard work is deeply appreciated!
