On Friday October 2, the 2026 Homecoming Court was presented to the community at the homecoming football game. Students on the homecoming court were nominated by their student organizations, activities, and sports teams and then the final court was chosen by the Class of 2027. All students at the high school were then invited to vote for homecoming king and queen, who were crowned at halftime. Congratulations to our homecoming court: Andrew Cabigas, Benjamin Erickson, Chase Henry, Nick Leone, Stephanie Dunbar, Brynn Gallagher, Katherine Radcliffe, and Neily Wilson.

To remember the 25 year anniversary of the September 11th tragedy, Robeson Elementary Center started a service project called “25 Years Later, We Choose Kindness.” This Service Project lasted from September 11th to September 25th. Each student was introduced to 25 ideas you or your family could do to spread a positive light in our community. Each classroom picked 4 acts to complete and some teachers allowed the students to pick their own 4 acts to be completed at school. Each student was also given one paper candle and asked to be kind or helpful to someone that is not part of your family. The student wrote what they did on the candle and brought it to school to hang around their classroom door.
If a student or family chose to complete an act of kindness or service, there was a table in the lobby that students brought their cards, pictures, or donated items to school. At the conclusion of the project, staff members delivered these items so Robeson Elementary Center can show our community how much we care about them. 25 Years Later, We Choose Kindness service project was a success and the students and REC families were so excited about the difference they made in our community.

Last week, the high school celebrated Homecoming with their annual HOCOlympics Spirit Week and grade level competition. Students were encouraged to participate in daily games, competitions, and of course: spirit days! These collages showcase just some of the incredible school spirit we saw at TVHS during the week.

Twin Valley High School Homecoming 2026 will take place from Monday, September 28 to Saturday, October 3. The homecoming pep rally and football game will be on Friday, October 2, and the homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, October 3. On Thursday September 10, Student Council hosted their annual Twin Valley High School Involvement Fair. The fair was held during the last block of the day to showcase the various clubs and activities available for student involvement at TVHS. There were 34 clubs and activities present, making it the largest fair to date. The entire 9th grade class was able to attend the fair to encourage them to find groups that they may want to join, and upper classmen were invited to see it before the end of the day.
Tonight is the annual Mini THON Gold Out football game for Twin Valley! This event helps to kick-off Mini THON's efforts to raise money for children with pediatric cancer in partnership with Four Diamonds and Penn State Health. Mini THON students will be at the football game tonight selling additional Gold Out shirts for $12, and will also have a snack stand at the game, with all proceeds going directly back to support children. Make sure to support and GO RAIDERS FOOTBALL!

TVSD welcomed students this week as the 2026-27 school year started on Monday. It was great to see our buses rolling, students smiling and the excitement a new school year brings. We are glad to have our returning students back and the opportunity to meet our newest Raiders this week. Wishing all a very successful school year.

Board President Gary McEwen shared a welcome message and Pam Menet, Director of Community & Economic Development for Berks County provided information as we connect student learning to careers and college readiness. New hires were celebrated as well as employees recognized for reaching 25, 30, 35 and 40 service year milestones. The day provided an opportunity to reconnect with teammates and reflect on the impact we can have together this school year. We look forward to welcoming our students back next week!

Fall sports registration is now open. The link to the new Arbiter Registration platform is provided below.
Registration is straightforward and should be completed for all student-athletes in grades 7–12 who plan to participate in a fall sport. Please be sure to complete all required sections for each student-athlete.
Before beginning registration, please have the following items ready:
A completed and signed PIAA Section 6 Physical Form to upload during the registration process.
Your child's current health insurance information.
Please complete registration as soon as possible to ensure your child is eligible to participate when the season begins.

Let's go, girls! Our Twin Valley Girls Lacrosse team is heading to the PIAA State Championships! Come out to support them as they battle Wyomissing for the 2A title. #WellnessWednesday: Did you know that the Berks County Intermediate Unit offers Grief & Loss Summer Camp for Students?
Now in its 12th year, Camp Connect has provided support to more than 400 students who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Camp Connect offers children and teens ages 6–16 from Berks County and surrounding counties the opportunity to attend this program at no cost. The camp is a four half-day experience filled with fun activities, art, music, and games, combined with grief education and emotional support. All camp activities are facilitated by specially trained volunteers and mental health professionals.
Two camps are scheduled in Berks County this summer:
• June 15–18, 2026 in the Temple/Muhlenberg Township area
• August 3–6, 2026 in the Spring Township/Mohns Hill area
