alumni hof recipients 2025

The Twin Valley School District (TVSD) School Board and Administration are proud to announce the induction of Mrs. Rose Ann (Emery) Potts (Class of 1981), Mr. John Burdy (Class of 1986), and Mr. Daniel Rattigan (Class of 1998) into the TVSD Alumni Hall of Fame!

Rose Ann Potts, valedictorian of the Class of 1981, built a 40+ year career in the confectionery industry, making a national impact at Blommer Chocolates through innovation, mentorship, and over 100 teaching engagements. A Candy Hall of Fame inductee, Rose also serves on industry boards and remains active in her local community and family life in Birdsboro.

John Burdy, Class of 1986, has remained a pillar of the Elverson community while earning over a dozen patents in the automotive industry. Known for his dedicated service, John volunteers as a firefighter, school board member, and church elder, and supports various local organizations and youth programs.

Daniel Rattigan, a 1998 graduate and co-founder of French Broad Chocolates, leads with a focus on ethical sourcing and handcrafted quality. Voted "Most Artistic" in high school, Daniel carries forward the creativity and values he developed at Twin Valley into his award-winning company and community-focused mission.

Earlier this week, TVSD School Board members, Alumni Hall of Fame members, administrators, and guests gathered to honor these exceptional alumni at a reception and induction ceremony. While Mr. Rattigan could not attend, his former Honey Brook Elementary teacher, Ms. Lisa Hughes, proudly accepted the award on his behalf.

Congratulations to our 2025 TVSD Alumni Hall of Fame inductees!
